NightStar® Magnetic Force Emergency Flashlights - Shake-2-Shine
No Dead Batteries, No Broken Bulbs, No Maintenance... Ever!

"First, I would like to praise your flashlight. I am a flight medic who frequently spends long amounts of time in back woods of 3rd world areas where batteries are non-existent. All the cool little tactical LED Surefire lights that cost $200 and are made of titanium-whatever don't do you a bit of good with no batteries. Your light, on the other hand, has worked forever in every condition from the Arctic cold (we are the air wing that rescued that doctor off the South pole) to the heat of Oman. And while I still carry a Photon and a few chem sticks (you always need a plan B and C) I rely on your light as my primary."

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
1. Energy of motion is transformed into electrical energy by means of repeatedly passing a high power magnet through a coil of wire.
2. NightStar uses a mag-lev recoil system to smoothly reflect the charging magnet through the coil without loss of mechanical energy. Motion is efficiently transformed into light with no degradation to the system.
3. Electrical energy is stored in a capacitor. Superior to a battery, the capacitor will never corrode, can recharge several hundred thousand times and will power the LED even under extreme hot or cold temperatures.
4. The LED used in NightStar is practically unbreakable, has a rated lifetime over 100,000 hours, and will produce 12-foot candles (10 lumens) of light at peak brightness.
5. The full spectrum light from the LED is projected into a beam by a precision acrylic lens.
6. The magnetic on/off switch is reliable, watertight and intrinsically safe.
7. All of NightStar's state-of-the-art components are contained within a nearly indestructible, polycarbonate, waterproof housing, ensuring operation under severe and rugged conditions.

A family treasure in undeveloped country !

Hello,

This is a short note to accent the preventable accidents that happen at night when no usable flashlight is available. It is a universal and basic but overlooked problem that flashlights in the toolbox, trunk or boot of vehicles are not maintained and therefore fail when required for emergency use. This problem applies to every truck, car, boat, home, and office building. Your flashlight does not work when you finally really need it...
This emergency need includes both POV and military vehicle work lighting and signal lighting (trying to signal a need for help.) There is no excuse for it.
We manufacture and distribute a series of flashlights that require absolutely no maintenance, ever! The NightStar™ Magnetic Source Emergency Flashlights uses the marketing phrase "No dead batteries, no broken bulbs, no maintenance, ever." They are waterproof and vibration proof. They are patented, heavily tested by independent labs, and have U.S. Department of Defense National Stock Numbers (NSN) issued to them. They are available in Stealth Black (with white, red or green LED's), Marine Yellow (with white LED's), and High - Tech Clear bodies (with white LED's). Infrared LED's can be special ordered.
Our military users explain and document some "real world" standard and non-standard uses.

One longtime AF EMT said it best. "First, I would like to praise your flashlight. I am a flight medic who frequently spends long amounts of time in back woods of 3rd world areas where batteries are non-existent.         Other comments from military users are a bit more graphic.

  • Permanently Operational - "With the white light staying permanently operational and being apparently immune to the ionizing that occurs with the Aluminum hulled Surefire lights, these are the premier light to have in any austere climate/condition where resupply is difficult."

  • Vibration Proof - "Oh, and as an aside, you can point out your lights are immune to vibration. C-130H kill small electronics by vibrating them apart. That's why my team gave up on Maglights. 20 flight hours and they were done."

  • FOD Tool - "Use it for your morning FOD walk it will pick up any little non-aluminum metal bits out of the cracks in the runway."

  • Explosive and Hazardous Areas - "...plus as it in non-sparking, mine has been used while clearing Clandestine meth labs (a huge problem on the east and west coast. This may be a selling point with LEA groups as even the best Surefire (flashlight) can spark off a meth lab and, bang, there goes the house and the Team.)"

  • Booby Trap Killer - "Wrap in bubble tape, tie 200ft of 550 cord to end, throw while lit into dark building or down road. The magnet is powerful enough to (A) trip magnetic AP and (B) AT mines as well as those Yugoslavian fast fuse mines that detect electrical output (usually from a human body.) I was wrong. We did kill one of these hot boxes I found that way. My Lt. reminded me. We killed one in Macedonia by chucking it into a building and setting off a MRUD (low powered copy of a U.S. claymore mine) that was under the floor boards. Make sure that when you try this trick you have a sand bag wall or ballistic wall shield up."

Every soldier should have one NightStar flashlight in his vest, his car, his military vehicle, and his living and working quarters. They should also be standard survival equipment in every ship, boat, truck, combat vehicle, and aircraft.
When a soldier leaves a foreign combat location, he or she should give the locals a NightStar instead of "a pair of silk stockings" or a "Hershey Bar". The NightStar is a family treasure in undeveloped country. Think of the public relations value in disasters, post-combat rebuilding, and simple "friend building." Our FMS Department should see this new flashlight as a natural item for distribution to our allies.
The grand-daddy problem of military tactical planning is the question, "What mix of water, food, fire, and light is necessary for personal and personnel deployment for this mission?" The NightStar allows an unlimited service duration cure for the "light" portion of this problem for the first time in recorded history.
Thank you for your consideration and the jobs you do. Keep Well.

Respectfully,
