Dear Mr. Ballew:
By this letter, Aerospatiale Helicopter Corporation acknowledges
that the actions that you took with respect to the configuration
management, sub-contracts, and engine hardware problems encountered
in the United States Coast Guard HH65A program, though not fully
comprehended by key personnel at the time, were taken in good
faith by you in the best interest of the company as well as its
country. It does appear that the circumstances surrounding your
employment with the company may have been mishandled. To the restitution
which AHC has made for any consequent injuries to you, AHC now
adds this, its formal apology. In addition, AHC offers its thanks;
we are now a better company.
