WARRANTY - Made in the USA. It has a limited, lifetime manufacturer's warranty and It works every time, guaranteed. In the unlikely event that NightStar® fail due to a defective part or an error in production assembly, Applied Innovative Technologies, Inc., will repair or replace it at no cost. This lifetime warranty is granted to the original owner whose name appears on the warranty registration card. It is necessary to include your name and current address with the returned product. This warranty is voided if failure is due to sever mishandling, abuse, or incorrect reassembly. Deliver your NightStar® as well as any questions or comments to the manufacturer.
RECHARGING - The NightStar recharges by shaking it back and forth. Shaking the flashlight causes a high-strength rare earth magnet to slide back and forth through a coil (1500 loops) of copper wire, generating current in exactly the same way as a standard generator.
DURATION - The electricity is stored in a capacitor, which we can safely say will never need to be replaced, delivering about five minutes of readable light (up to fifteen more minutes at a lower level).
LIGHT - The NightStar uses a single high-output white LED and a precision lens to produce a 6-foot diameter circle of soft illumination at a distance of 30 feet. Light output has about the same intensity as a full moon on a clear night, so you won't want to read an entire dictionary by it. On the other hand, you can see whether that's a snake or a stick on your sleeping bag, and light the trail to the "out-house tree" well enough not to stumble during your emergency runs.
